1900（Take piano）： keys begin, keys end. You know there are 88 of them. Nobody can tell you any different. They are not infinite. You’re infinite…. And on those keys, the music that you can make… is infinite. I like that. That I can live by….

And then maybe one day, I’ll make it to the coast, look up, see the ocean, and hear it’s scream.

In all that sprawling city, there was everything except an end. There was everything. But there wasn’t an end.
What I couldn’t see was where all that came to an end. The end of the world. Take a piano. The keys begin, the keys end. You know there are 88 of them and no-one can tell you differently. They are not infinite, you are infinite. And on those 88 keys the music that you can make is infinite. I like that. That I can live by.
But you get me up on that gangway and roll out a keyboard with millions of keys, and that’s the truth, there’s no end to them, that keyboard is infinite.
But if that keyboard is infinite there’s no music you can play.
You’re sitting on the wrong bench. That’s God’s piano.
Christ, did you see the streets? There were thousands of them! How do you choose just one? One woman, one house, one piece of land to call your own, one landscape to look at, one way to die.

劇情簡介
每個聽過「1900」演奏的人，都會被深深打動…
豪華郵輪「維吉尼亞號」上，燃煤工人丹尼有天在鋼琴上，發現一名被遺棄的嬰兒。當天正好是1900年元旦，目不識丁的他，於是將嬰兒取名「1900」，並當作自己的親生兒子撫養長大。
丹尼去世後，一直生活在郵輪底層、從未接觸陸地的「1900」，也逐漸長大成人。某個夜晚，他以鋼琴彈奏出美妙樂音，將船上所有人都喚醒了。從此他脫離了暗無天日的船底生活，開始他的表演人生。琴藝精湛的「1900」很快聲名遠播，每個聽過他演奏的人，都會被深深打動，使得愈來愈多的人都慕名而來。他認識了小號手麥克斯，兩人結為好友；爵士大師傑利聽說他的傳奇，更專程上船與他較量…。
多年過去，即使一次大戰開打，「1900」也從未接觸陸地，仍在郵輪上過著演奏的日子。當戰爭結束、郵輪也將報廢，他卻依然堅持要留在船上。從不敢踏上陸地的他，也不聽好友麥克斯的勸告，直到有天愛上了一個女孩，終於興起了靠岸的念頭…。
