海倫凱勒 Helen Keller 簡介

海倫凱勒（Helen Adams Keller）的全名是海倫·亞當斯·凱勒 （Helen Adams Keller，1880年6月27日-1968年6月1日）是一名美國殘障教育家，同時也是著名的女作家、慈善家、社會活動家。在嬰孩時期九個月大的時候，因為罹患急性胃充血、腦充血，而被奪去視力和聽力。1887年與莎莉文老師相遇。1899年6月考入哈佛大學拉德克利夫女子學院，1968年6月1日逝世，享年87歲，有86年生活在無光、無聲的世界裡。

海倫凱勒（Helen Keller）的一生共完成了14本著作，其中最著名的有：《假如給我三天光明》《我的人生故事》《石牆故事》。她致力於為殘疾人造福，建立了許多慈善機構，1964年榮獲「總統自由勳章」，次年入選美國《時代週刊》評選的「二十世紀美國十大偶像」之一。
